Before installation, you should know that:

Your dish needs a direct line of sight to our satellites. Make sure trees and buildings will not interfere.
We recommend Professional Installation:

During your Professional Basic Installation, your installer will:

- Professional installers provide customers with a technically superior installation.
- The installer will install your dish for optimum reception.
- The installer will connect your receiver to your TV, VCR and DVD, plus answer any questions.

During your Professional Basic Installation, your installer will:
- Mount and ground your 18" or 18"x20" DIRECTV satellite dish on an exterior vertical wall of a single-family dwelling.
- Run up to 125 feet of RG-6 cable to each receiver in the purchased package through one(1) exterior and one(1) interior wall.
- Route cable through a standard wood frame structure or a single layer of masonry.
- Connect and activate all DIRECTV receiver(s) included in the purchased package.
- Connect the primary DIRECTV receiver to a phone jack (within 25 feet of the receiver).
- Complete a system test verifying signal strength, access card match and telephone connectivity.
- Connect an existing off-air antenna or active cable drop, enabling TV to function as it had prior to DIRECTV installation.
- Provide 20 minutes of training on how to use your new DIRECTV equipment.

- Install or relocate additional receivers purchased separate from the package purchase (unless and additional, separate installation has been purchased).
- Mount or ground the 18" or 18"x20" satelite dish on any surface of the home requiring a ladder taller than 25' to reach.
- Run over 125 feet of RG-6 cable per receiver.
- Drill through more than one exterior and one interior wall for each receiver installation.
- Provide enhancements to an existing phone system.
- Connect to a phone jack farther than 25 feet from the receiver.
- Connect to a stereo or various audio components.
- Hide cable using special moldings or other cosmetic hardware.
- Hookup to more than one additional outlet or multi-switch installation.
- Provide non-penetrating roof mount, pole mount or chimney mount.
- Remove and/or repair any previously mounted equipment.
