That, too, is how I read that TallSally. Thank you for your response. I read the USCIS as saying that when attempting to re-enter the US, having been gone on a trip lasting less than a year, all one needs is your green card and your national passport.
A travel document, (reentry permit) is only necessary if you have been out of the country for more than one year consecutively.
I want to make sure this is true before we travel. We are planning a trip to Canada, Bahamas, and Mexico next year and want no problems.
this is how I read this. I figured all you guys who travel back and forth to Russia and Ukraine would know about this. Any reason to apply for and pay for a reentry permit? Will there be a "problem at the gate"?
