At least five dead in market explosion in southern Russia The Associated Press 4/28/02 5:07 AM VLADIKAVKAZ, Russia (AP) -- An explosive device was detonated at an outdoor market in the southern Russian city of Vladikavkaz, killing at least five people and injuring 39 others, officials said Sunday. The device was planted near the entrance to the market at a stall selling flowers, NTV television reported. At least five people were killed in the blast and 39 were injured, a spokeswoman for the Emergency Situations Ministry in Moscow said. Vladikavkaz, located in the republic of North Ossetia 940 miles southeast of Moscow, borders on the breakaway republic of Chechnya, where Russian troops have been battling rebels for the past two years. The market is located on the outskirts of the city.

Unfortunately, that's not new at all :-(. Didn't you hear about the bombs in Moscow's houses... They happened in other cities too, but in Moscow it was the worst :-(. There were bombs but in houses and in a Metro station. I was in Moscow at that time, it was so horrible. Actually, it was very similar to 9/11...
