We have latino clubs, black television, etc...what if someone made a 'white tv' station? or a 'white club' ? Well, read below and see what happened when a girl started a white club in her school. This just shows how ridicilous all these liberals are who always point fingers and accuse white people of racism.

'Caucasian' a bigoted term?

The girl deserves a medal for bravery. Courageous she is, but still she stayed home last weekend and missed the homecoming celebration at school. She and her parents were concerned about threats to her safety.
According to Lisa McClelland, Hispanic boys on her Freedom High School campus north of San Francisco threatened to beat her up. The NAACP compared her to David Duke and adults and teens have lobbed "racist" and "bigot" at her.
Indeed, even a news article about the issue on the front page of the Contra Costa Times (Sept. 17) threw fuel on the fire with its unbiased news reporting by using as the lead line: "Lisa McClelland insists that she is not a racist."
That even-handed line was written by staff writer Danielle Samaniego. Given the nature of the issue, it's not hard to understand her bias. Poor thing, I guess she was a victim of diversity classes in journalism school.
So what's this all about? You'd think there's about to be a rumble on campus with the factions lining up by skin color.
Sorry, it's not quite that complicated. In fact, it's quite simple, and the person at the center of it is not a hardened, racist, sheet-wearing bigot.
The person in question is Lisa, a 14-year-old high school freshman. If it matters, and it does in this case, she is white, but even that isn't that simple. Asked how she would describe herself, she said, "I'm Latina, Mexican, Irish, Scottish, German and Dutch. I'm everything – a true American."
That kid's got her head on straight, and unfortunately, her straight thinking on matters of heritage have gotten her into a heap of trouble.
Why? Because Lisa wants to have a new cultural club on campus. She wants to start The Caucasian Club. You can imagine how that went over with the administration. You're right. Red flags went up all over the place.
Interestingly enough, during the three weeks Lisa has been promoting the idea, she's already collected 245 signatures from students and adults on a petition supporting the idea.
Sadly, she says she thinks that white kids are afraid to sign for fear they'll be called racist. Interestingly, she says most of the student signatures are from minority kids.
According to Elliott Perez, a neighbor and a sophomore, "I think it's fair for white people to have their own club because every other race has their own club." Elliott is Latino and white. Freshman Tyeisha Crooks, who is black, said "It'd be tight because they can learn more about their history."
In fact, that is exactly why Lisa wants the club. She says that she and many of her friends feel excluded because of other school clubs that are race and culture specific. There are black, Latino and Asian clubs on campus. She says that a Caucasian Club would enable "white" children to learn about the varied countries and cultures of their ethnic heritage. In addition, membership would be open to anyone. She wants field trips to museums to study history and says it will promote diversity and acceptance, not foster division.
How can you argue with that? Here's how. Darnell Turner, first vice president of the area chapter of the NAACP, said the club would create racial division.
In his effort to effect racial harmony, he likened Lisa's efforts to those of the Klan.
He said the NAACP and other ethnic organizations and clubs have "never been associated historically with bigotry." He called them ways to identify group members and unify.
Then he dropped the bomb: "When we use the word 'white' or 'Caucasian' or whatever, it has always been associated with racial bigotry. Using that term opens up old wounds, and we don't need to go there."
Sorry, Mr. Turner, you're already there and if that's the message your black organizations are shoving into the heads of young people, you have ripped open those wounds and will never let them heal.
If we ever needed proof that the racial divide is wider than ever as a result of the very people who represent themselves as victims needing healing, there it is.
I'd hate to think what would happen if race baiters of that ilk were fully in charge. Then again, judging by the reaction of the school, the white kids, the NAACP and even the attitude of the "reporter," I think we know where we are.
MLK Jr. must be rolling over in his grave.
By the way, Lisa plans to write a constitution, get an adviser and submit the club plan to the principal for approval.
I wonder how much courage he has?
