How do you know if you're loved?

Eta tema vrode by uzhe "proshla", no ya vspomnil odnu detal' i xochu dobavit' neskol'ko slov. Esche odin iz priznakov iz toj zhe serii, chto "smotret' na spyaschuyu lyubimuyu". Kogda govorish' podruge, chto pozvonish' rovno v vosem', i zvonish' rovno v vosem', i ona snimaet trubku srazu zhe posle pervogo zvonka ili esche do togo, kak on zakonchilsya. Znachit, zhdala zvonka, dezhurila u telefona v naznachennyj chas! Samo po sebe eto ne oznachaet vozmozhnosti sdelat' kakoj-libo global'nyj vyvod "if you are loved", no vse ravno priyatno, kogda tak proisxodit.

Alesh, eto tema ne proxodit. Na schet telefonnix zvonkov - ti prav. I voobche priyatno kogda tebe zvonyat punktual'no, rovno v to vremya kogda obeshali. Ya kogda-to vstrechalas' s patsanom kotoriy bil v etom dele ochen' nice. Pomnu on mne obeshal pozvonit' v kakoe-to vremya, no emu nado bilo uiti. I on mne pozvonil na 2 minuti prosto shtob skazat' shto shas uxodit i ne smojet mne pozvonit' poje, kogda obeshal. NO on mne pozvonit kogda vernetsa. So he called to let me know that he won't call at the promised time, but he'll call me later! :) Vot eto pokazivaet care and concern. Priyatno.

Ya ponyala. No ti k etomu delu podoshel s mujskoi storoni, a ya s jenskoi. Tebe, kak mujchine, priyatno shto kogda ti zvonish, devushka jdet zvonka. A mne, kak jenshine, priyatno shto voobche pervonachal'no zvonyat' v obeshannoe vremya.

A vot shto eche priyatno (this is not really about "loved", but more about "definitely liked") - eto kogda tebya videlyaut iz tolpi. V smisle, esli ti komu-to nravishsya, on/ona obrashaut na tebya bol'she vnimaniya chem na vsex ostal'nix v kompanii. Tipa syadet ryadom, pogovorit, udelit vremya, i t.d. Toje meloch' - but an obvious sign.

How do you know if you're loved?

ORLANDO I am he that is so love-shaked: I pray you tell me your remedy. ROSALIND There is none of my uncle's marks upon you: he taught me how to know a man in love; in which cage of rushes I am sure you are not prisoner. ORLANDO What were his marks? ROSALIND A lean cheek, which you have not, a blue eye and sunken, which you have not, an unquestionable spirit, which you have not, a beard neglected, which you have not; but I pardon you for that, for simply your having in beard is a younger brother's revenue: then your hose should be ungartered, your bonnet unbanded, your sleeve unbuttoned, your shoe untied and every thing about you demonstrating a careless desolation; but you are no such man; you are rather point-device in your accoutrements as loving yourself than seeming the lover of any other.

Это ты якобы читаешь Шекспира в подлиннике, да? Good job on using web search engines. А как называется эта пьеса в русском переводе?

How do you know if you're loved?

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off, I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul. I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in itself the light of certain flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly inside my body. I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way than this: where I does not exist, nor you so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep. Pablo Neruda

How do you know if you're loved?

It's hard to know if someone loves you if you yourself want them to love you.... But when they really do... You do know. Like a collection of clues found in the tangible & less tangible... Where are they in their life? Does it make sense for them to love you? Do you fit their conception of their identity or ego? What do they say they are looking for? What does it seem they are looking for (ie their actions and reactions)? Are they selfish? Do they really listen? Do they really ask? Do they care when you cry? Do they take care of you when you're sick? Do they hang out with you at boring stuff with your family? Do they do little things... like pick you up or drop you off at the airport just to see you that much sooner or that much longer? Do they look wistful when you're leaving? Does their face light up when you arrive? Do they help you build yourself as a person? Does their face soften when they look at you? Does their voice speak with reverence when they talk about you? Does it sweeten when they speak to you? Do they reach for you absently, play with your hair, write sweet notes, reach for that extra kiss, watch you sleep and smile when you wake... little stuff whatever their style is... When imagining....Do you doubt or wonder if they'll be there for you? Or does it feel solid?
