Job description
Process Improvement/CMMI Lead, i.e. engineer with fully system and
software development lifecycle experience and who has lead efforts to
prepare for SEI SCAMPI appraisals for Level 3 of CMMI. Leads the
Engineering Process Group (EPG), coordinates standard process
definition, tailoring and training activities, and ensures compliance
to organizational processes. Leads the development of an organization
Process Improvement Plan that lays out the development and deployment
of needed Process Management, Project Management, Engineering, and
Support Processes. Leads the effort to conduct internal CMMI
assessments. Leads the effort to plan, coordinate and support SCAMPI
appraisals. Leads the development of the organizational standard
processes to guide program projects in implementing CMMI v1.2 Maturity
Level 3 compliance across the system and software development
organization. Meet challenging project goals and deadlines -
independently manage deadlines.
Consultants hired into GBS Public Sector will typically be located in
an [company] office or at an [company] client site in the Washington,
DC metropolitan area. Except in limited cases, relocation to the
Washington, DC area is required and is not reimbursable. Generally,
Public Sector clients are in the DC Metro area and require limited
travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up
to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less
than 1 year. Thus, while most projects are in the DC metropolitan area,
Consultants must be able to travel and cannot refuse projects due to
travel requirements.

Required
* High School Diploma/GED
* At least 3 years experience in SDLC and/or full system and
software development
* At least 3 years experience in Lifecycle CMMI v1.2 (prefer
completion of Introduction to CMMI v1.2 and Intermediate Concepts of
CMMI v1.2)
* At least 5 years experience in IT Governance
* At least 5 years experience in Project Management
* At least 3 years experience in Leading and guiding large, complex
tasks
* Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SSBI) - Active
* Readiness to travel up to 75%; travelling 5 days a week, home on
weekends
* U.S. citizenship required
* English: Intermediate
Preferred
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 5 years experience in SDLC and/or full system and
software development
* At least 5 years experience in Lifecycle CMMI v1.2 (prefer
completion of Introduction to CMMI v1.2 and Intermediate Concepts of
CMMI v1.2)
* At least 3 years experience in Quality Assurance
* At least 5 years experience in CMMI/QA Consulting
* English : Fluent
