Financial Crisis/Bailout/etc.
Sep. 30/2008 I woke up this morning..and apparently there is some sort of financial crisis going on in this country. Is that true? If so, how come I don't feel it? i'm also wondering, what it's gonna be like to go through not just one collapse of an empire, but two.. Can the "former soviet" falks take it? What country will they move to next?
These are my talking points for this morning:-)

Ah! Good stuff! Though arguable in some spots. Common, Buchenwald, argue that one. 3-5 years, the world will have a totally different geopolitical map, unless the US will start acting now. But of course that is not going to happen. Reverse exodus, anyone?

It is VERY likely. I think, in Russia, the stage is also almost set for such reverse exodus. They need to solve their demographic problem VERY VERY BADLY (and preferably with the help of HEALTHY -- not drug addicted/drinking -- educated population). There is a possibility that we would be treated with quite a bit of suspicion upon return.. But overall, I think, the country will be quite happy to see us back. Especially if we decide to settle somewhere in Siberia or the Far East LOL:-)

I wouldn't laugh at idea of settling in Far East, that's where the real growth will be happening in the next decades.

lol... not exactly what I meant, but I suppose it is a way to keep my mind off of the economy.... With this particular bailout proposal, can you guarantee satisfying results? ;)

Re: Financial Crisis/Bailout/etc.
rumors about the demise of the USA are premature. We need consequences in order for real reform to happen. Reform meaning pull back our military from all over the world. Stop supporting the rest of the world with freebies. And stop putting America last. When we put America first, and tighten up the border, you will see things dramatically improve here, and everybody will be knocking on the door to 'come back' to the USA.
Just cutting our defense budget in 1/2 is a good start. And forget defending other countries for a while. Just like unprofitable businesses and industries will, mercifully, die off....so should unprofitable politcal alliances.
Now, I may be wrong. Our country's business model and multi-cultural diversity may well be our un-doing. So maybe we do become, god-forbid, a country like France. But if I were President, I'd make sure we put America first, and that Hugo Chavez and every citizen in his country paid a price for his insolence. Yep - I'd be just like Putin. :-)

Re: Financial Crisis/Bailout/etc.
